Simpson roles for Barack Obama and Russell Brand | The Sun |Showbiz|TV

The long-running cartoon’s executive producers James L Brooks and Al Jean hope Mr Obama, 47, will be the first president in office to appear on the show.

James told TV Biz: “We’d love to have Barack on the show. No president has agreed to do it yet but we’ll keep asking.

“We’re putting all the right signals out.”

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair appeared on the show in 2003 while still in office.

The producers also hope ex-US president George W Bush will agree to appear in Springfield — so they can send him up.

So what do you think?

I personally think it would be great for Obama to be on the show!

Sounds like a good episode. i cant wait to watch it. i was wondering if the simpsons would have him on since he did the jay leno thing

I think there would be a good chance he would do it. I also can't wait to see it if they do put him on.
